I recently went through my wedding box, after 11 yrs of "saving" the memorablia. I use my extra thank you cards from the wedding gifts, for any/all occasions now! I love them as much as I did the first time around! After all, it's my monogram.

I've been trying to use up napkins a roommate left -- in March. Granted, they're pretty crappy napkins, so sometimes we use paper towels we got at Sams, but mostly we use cloth napkins and towels. I'm only starting to see a dent in the crappy paper towels now that I'm lining the bottom of our indoor compost bucket with them to help absorb moisture before we get around to dumping the contents into the pile.

Oddly enough, the paper towels we got at Sams are way better than what our roommate left, even though we got them in the restaurant supply aisle instead of the regular paper products aisle. (Toilet paper from that section was remarkably good, too, somehow.)

instead of buying disposable napkins next time, invest in linen. you'll be saving money and helping the environment at the same time.

congrats on the minimalism thus far. it's a fun journey, isn't it?
