I have been an organizer all my life for family members, friends. I'm really good at it and enjoy it very much. I would like to know how to be a professional organizer. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

I'm a professional organizer and feng shui practitioner. I find that removing clutter intentionally and with respect allows people to breathe deeply, many for the first time in years. I've observed that the removal of clutter is directly tied to the increase in life energy (Qi). Some of my clients get so energized after an organized session that they're up for hours continuing the work with great gobs of energy and excitement. Organizing is much more than going to a container store and buying plastic boxes!

As a professional organizer myself, our job isn't to come in and throw everything away on you but rather work with you to help you determine what it is you truly value and love and then help you devise some systems and storage solutions to incorporate those things in the space you have. Sometimes just having some fresh eyes looking at your space is all you need, others need a little more hand holding. Costs vary depending on these needs and your resolve to kick the chaos and clutter to the curb once and for all.

Hope that helps!

I suspect it would be worth it to have a problem solver and neutral person help. But I have often wondered about what kind of cost is involved.
