boxetti – minimalism boxed

by joshua becker

latvian designer rolands landsbergs has created ”boxetti,” a collection of furniture that folds into itself when not in use,  leaving you with nothing but….boxes. described by rolands ”the collection is driven by three basic design principles – functionality, advanced technologies and contemporary aesthetics of minimalism. each of boxetti modules is designed to achieve maximum efficiency of particular demands for functionality and suitability.”

allow me the opportunity to introduce you to boxetti.

the desk, retail price: $12,839.72.

 the bed, retail price: 11,409.69.

i am more than positive that the furniture would not work for my family of four… but it would sure be fun at parties.

Very cool. Becoming minimalist can be expensive, if you want trendy.

Kidding aside, I love this blog. Thanks for being brief. Some of us work and have only a few moments here and there to check our favorite blogs. No time for thousands of words, and many of those words are clutter anyway. Great job.

Those prices sure aren’t minimalist.

If you enjoyed woodworking I’m sure this would be a fun project. Less expensive and more satisfying in the long run.

Not sure about all of the furniture, but love the bed. Make it in the morning & hide it the rest of the day. No worries about trying to get under to sweep dust bunnies. *sigh
