Great observation. I have long loved going to WalMart SuperCenters to observe people. There is no better place to be on the morning of December 26th than a giant Wal Mart in the south. It is great entertainment to watch the gift returns and exchanges.
About being minimal, no one says you have to buy anything when you visit WalMart.
I noticed you did a story about peopleofwalmart.com. Perhaps you might be interested in doing a follow up about People of Public Transit.

The public bus and subway systems are littered with amazing photo opportunities. Many of us have been sitting alone witnessing something amazing and only wishing we could share the experience with our friends. Well now you can!
Thank you,

Then again, there was a photo of a woman who may have been a minimalist dresser. She simply wore a pair of sweat pants as her whole outfit. One piece of clothing = outfit.
