Over the years of pursuing minimalism and interacting with simple living advocates, I have come to recognize the simplicity/minimalism niche to be among the most friendly, encouraging, and helpful around. There is a genuine understanding that any promotion of simplicity is good for society—and there is little concern about who gets the credit for it.
It is a pleasure to be part of such a wonderful group of people. I enjoy the opportunity to promote writing that encourages people to live more life by owning less stuff. So please, fix yourself a nice warm cup of coffee. Find a quiet moment. And enjoy some encouraging words about finding more simplicity in your life today.

I’m a late arrival. I have over the past few months been reading through your archive from beginning to end after stumbling on you and your site through another blog. I have such an appreciation for all you write here- we are a young family with 3kids ages 4 and under and live in a1200 sq ft,3 bedroom house. We got rid of probably 1/4 of what we owned before moving provinces a year and a half ago but like so many say there is always ongoing maintenance and we have yet to reach our personal ‘sweet spot’. I always appreciate the encouragement to live simply that you offer here.
Today I especially enjoyed the Summer Slow Down Guide! With 3 young kids it is easy to feel like you are always ‘on’ so I appreciated the reminder to stop and smell the roses…
Blessings!

Liked the post – Err on the side of generosity. Thanks for the post. Benefits of generosity are really an eye-opener. But why are generous people so rare?

I started my saturday morning with your posts, loved them so much! Currently reading the little book of contentment (I even took the liberty to design a cover for it, just for the fun of it: http://pinterest.com/pin/273593746085408157/)
And His Simpler life… amazing, a CEO that gave away all his suits and formal clothing, and right he is! Even made me think to donate some of my formal gear that I dislike to wear, there is a organization here that collects ‘work’ cloths to help people who are in need of a new job but don’t have the money to buy suitable clothing.
Thanks for loads and loads of inspiration!

I really look forward to these posts and discovering others who are writing about simplicity that I may not stumble onto on my own. Thank you!
