The ‘Buy Nothing’ Year is an amazing idea. I am just not so sure if I have it in me to do it. I could easily pare down everything to the essentials. But not buying anything can be quite hard to do.

I liked the David Cain article in Raptitude. Spending time is all about choices. The hard part, as with downsizing, is letting go of some pursuits to open up the time for what matters most to you.

Loved the New Yorker cartoons! Yes, decluttering and simplifying is important, but we do need to keep it all in perspective and not take ourselves too seriously all the time.
