The simplicity/minimalism movement is a beautiful community. It is friendly, encouraging, and helpful. There is a genuine understanding that any promotion of simplicity is good for society—and there is little concern over who gets the credit for it.
It is a pleasure to be part of such a wonderful group of people. And I enjoy every opportunity to promote writing that encourages people to live more by owning less. So fix yourself a nice warm cup of coffee or tea. Find a quiet moment this weekend. And enjoy some encouraging words to inspire more simplicity in your life today.

Hi mates, how is thhe whole thing, and what you want to say on the topic of this article, in my
view its truly amazing designed for me.
Thank you for these, I had a lovely time reading them all.
Thanks for the link, dude!
I certainly should adapt my “reading schedule”! Even though it might be a good way to conserve some of the weekend mood and carry it into the new week… :) Thanks Josh – for the inspiration and the reminder that I should make more space for reading!
That is a great list! I always try and take time out to read so I shall be adding these suggestions to my list for this coming weekend. Thanks for continuing to be an inspiration:)
Thank you so much! I enjoy reading what you write, and I am regularly inspired by the links you include in the Weekend Reads.
Thanks for compiling such amazing reading material for us. I know sometimes I get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of blogs and articles out there on the web. It is nice to have it in one little list like you have it here. Have a great weekend!
I look forward to the list of reads you compile for inspiration in my own life, my work – just about everything. Thank you!
Amazing suggestions. This is a lifestyle I’m curious about pursuing, but haven’t really jumped in head first yet. These articles reaffirm my curiosity.
Joshua, I’ve been lurking here for a few months now and your site was the first I stumbled upon in the beginning of my minimalist journey. You were “my neighbor who told me that maybe I didn’t need to own all that stuff!” So, thank you very much for that. Also, love the new blog design! Looks so clean, what a treat to read. Thanks for all the wonderful sharing!
I’m reading a book entitled ” Money Secrets of the Amish” by Lorilee Craker. It’s very inspiring how Amish people live with simplicity and less. And I believe we can also learn from them.
Really looking forward to some reflective reading this weekend. Thanks so much for compiling and sharing this list. I’ve been loving Trina Cress’ spring cleaning lists — can’t even begin to tell you how much they’ve helped me. Excited to see them on Becoming Minimalist.
I am starting today. Thank you.
