“The Uncluttered course is about more than removing clutter. It is about challenging you to live differently.” —Amy Slenker-Smith, Herndon, VA
Uncluttered
Uncluttered is a 12-week online course that we developed to help you own less, live more, and discover the life you’ve always wanted.
We offer the course only three times each year. And today, we are launching the Spring Edition.
If you want to finally declutter your home, own less, and save more, registration is open for the next 10 days only—ending April 30.
The program includes videos, interviews, live webinars, practical articles, weekly challenges, accountability, and an engaged community.
If you are drawn to the idea of owning less, but need some extra help getting there, this course is perfect for you. Uncluttered will provide just the extra motivation you need to declutter your home and start living a better life. By the end, you will have decluttered every major living area in your home and begun changing your spending habits.
Every Monday, you will receive a video from me, an exclusive interview with one of the brightest minds in the simplicity movement, or written content prepared for the course. You will receive a weekly challenge to complete. And you will be offered significant opportunities to engage with the community in a private Facebook group and with me during live webinars and live question and answer opportunities each month.
The course offers everything a book or blog post cannot: community, accountability, and opportunity to ask questions.

The Results
Over 12,000 people have already completed the course. And the feedback has been unbelievable:
The term life-changing gets thrown around a lot, but this course really is. I went into it with a lot of shame and anxiety. Joshua gently guided us in a way that made lasting change seem possible. My home is much improved, but my mindset is also clearer. —Kathryn Wagner, Los Angeles, CA
Signing up for the Decluttering course was one of the best decisions I’ve made. —Tracy Nowak, Webster, NY
There is a feeling of having shed layers off your life, a strange lightness which brings a new purpose to move forward. —Emer Maria Kielhorn, Ireland
My credit card statement came today. $1,000.00 under my typical monthly balance! Thank you Uncluttered community. I’ve been at this for years; however, it’s clear I truly needed this group to get to that next level. —Cheyanne Morris, St. Paul, MN
The Details
We offer the course only three times each year.
This program begins on Monday, May 1. Registration is open now, ending on Sunday, April 30—so don’t wait if you want to join us.
The cost for the course is $89. But you can find a 25% off discount code in the back of The More of Less: Finding the Life You Want Under Everything You Own (hardcover and digital formats only). The book is not required—but the course is based on it. And it’s cheaper to buy the book and use the discount code than it is to pay full price—the option is yours.
I am personally involved in every aspect of the course. Helping people live more by owning less is what I am passionate about. I created the videos and the content. I host the webinars. I answer questions in the Facebook group. And I host live video chats over the course of the 12 weeks. My goal is to help and cheer you along.
Participants receive lifetime access to the course. And they can take it as many times as they need.

Hi, I bought the audio book and registered my interest for the course after listening to it. Is there a discount code if you had the audio book?
I tried to sign up on the last day, about 10 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, for the $33 special but I guess your deadline is based on Eastern Standard Time. Sorry I didn’t see a statement regarding the time difference. Maybe next time.
We did not have a $33 special LeAna. Sorry about the confusion.
Is the 25% discount still available with purchase of the book online and/or the audio version?
It is not in the audio version, but you can find the code in the ebooks version.
Hi, so I just bought your audio book as well on Audible. I didn’t see these comments until now. I would like to take the class and could use a 25% discount. Is there a way support could email me the code since I did buy the book?
Thank you,
Tracey
Hi, I managed to miss the sign up for this round and would be interested in joining the next session. Is a course offered in summer? Thanks.
The course is offered three times each year. The next one begins September 05. You can enter your email address at my.becomingminimalist.com to receive notifications when the next one launches.
I would love to sign up for your course beginning May 1st, purchase the hardcover book and receive the 25% course discount. Unfortunately, I’ve checked with all six-book stores within 25 miles of me and none have it in stock. Given that May 1st is only two days away how might I accomplish all the above? I’m desperately in need of all the minaminalism and downsizing advice I can get.
Hey Joel,
Send us a message over at [email protected]. We’ll get you a solution.
Don’t miss this opportunity to let this amazing course jumpstart your longed for lifestyle. Getting organized is the number one problem our firm offers solutions to. You have to keep it going tho and this course can show you how to make living a peaceful life a habit. We’ve just finished a week of showing all the different faces of minimalism in decor. The common denominator is living with things important to you. Check us out too.-Laurel Bledsoe
I dont uses facebook. Is there a way I can still benefit from the community involved in the course?
We post some of the photos from the Facebook group in one of the weekly emails that we send out. But as far as actually interacting and asking questions with other participants, Facebook is the place where that happens.
I bought the audio book and am interested in the course. Is there still a way to get a discount code?
I just sent you an email Alice.
I registered for the Uncluttered course on the weekend but did not receive a confirmation email with the login information. I’ve emailed the support email address you listed above twice now, but have received no response as of yet. Not sure what to do. I assumed that the email would come immediately. Is that not correct?
Thank you.
Hey Patty, the folks that handle the technical support needs have just sent you an email. They’ll be able to help you better over there.
Once a month, we declutter our closets and we’ve been donating a basket of unused clothes, shoes, and toys to Goodwill for three months in the row now. I was surprised how much unused “stuffs” we have that occupied drawers and closets.
Hi. Trying to buy the book but none of the listed places sell your book outside the US (in ebook format), I’m in Australia. Would like both the book and that discount code for the course you mentioned. Is there anything else I can do to get my sticky fingers on ebook and course discount? :)
Kind regard
Anna
We have just responded to your comment with an email.
I understand this is a 12-week course. My question is, can we do it over a longer period. With my work schedule I am not likely to be able to maintain the timelines but am in need of uncluttering my home and life in a big way. Basically, if I pay can I follow the program kind of on my own.
I am wondering the same thing. Do I have to watch the video in one sitting? Or can I pause and resume? Or rewatch if needed? How long is the video and how long do we have access to it? We really need this after going thru a major health crisis. we must simplify our lives. But are also relocating our office in the midst. Just want to make sure we have flexibility in getting the information. I do understand the webinars are real time. Thank you for your time.
If I sign up but can’t watch all the live discussions will they be available to watch them later?
Yes, the webinars are recorded and made available immediately.
Ironic isn’t it? Becoming minimalist STARTS with buying something?? For $89 we will open the door.
With all due respect, Joshua offers hundreds of essays on his site for free so you can START there.
There’s a link in the menu up top that says Start Here if you want to click it.
Amazingly, it takes time for Joshua to write these. They don’t just appear out of thin air.
What’s more, unless you run a website, particularly one that gets even decent traffic, the reality is you must pay for domain, hosting, back-ups, security, etc. annually, and it’s not cheap.
So, cut the dude some slack. If he wants to offer a course (or a book) to help others and also to help pay for his bread, lights, or web hosting, that’s fine. Some people may need a guide or more direction so that they can save money and reduce stress by ending the clutter once and for all.
Hey John,
I wouldn’t expect anybody to buy the course if they didn’t need it. Some people find the extra accountability and weekly challenges helpful in their minimizing journey – that is who the course was designed to help.
Well worth it! I’ve been through once, and plan to at least once more. Loads of stuff no longer in my house. And however many times one participates, only the initial charge.
Ironic? hmm…more like hypocrite to me….
Spring comes with some infection as the weather is changing. removing the clutter is a good idea to stay healthy.
Josh,
Is there a special code for those going through the second time, which I believe has free access (or am I wrong)? I see the 25%, but it was my understanding that “alums” had free access whenever they wanted.
I have the same question…I joined last year, but never completed the course.
Hey Denise, there’s no discount code needed. Participants can take the course for free as many times as they want or need. Send an email to [email protected] and they can make sure you’re all set up to receive the weekly emails.
I’m not sure you looked into much of anything – if you had you would realize that though the author is Christian there is no “religious” theme to becoming a minimalist. It is sad that you have obviously judged something so quickly without researching. Whether an “Athiest” or “religious” there is much to be learned from this site/book. Good luck in your endeavor.
Ironically, although we are a full service design firm, our blog followers love the days when we suggest ways to get and stay organized before and after a successful renovation. Our post yesterday was titled, One In One Out, and talks about the need sometimes to have a jumpstart. I’ve read your books and indeed this course can be the motivation many would welcome. -Laurel Bledsoe
