The direction of our lives is decided more by the daily choices we make than anything else. And these choices are more influential to the person we are becoming than we often realize.

Great video Joshua. I have to admit I love the written word and I was much relieved to hear you won’t stop writing! My life has definitely changed for the better since I started to write!
I love the three item to do list and exercising everyday too.
I have also found that taking time to learn something new and engage in creativity every day is vital to my mental health and personal development.

Hi Linda,
I’m glad you brought up living alone, because there are others on here (including myself) who do. While I can’t speak to some of the issues you brought up, I can share about saving money from experience.
As far as saving money on clothing & many household items, thrift stores are great. In the category of food I have learned to look at what is in the fridge & plan meals around that which also can help curb food waste. Even for one person you can freeze many foods for extra meals & although it is great to have some quick meals/canned goods on hand, cooking from scratch is relatively easy & much cheaper.

Appreciate these reminders, Josh. Your words never fail to draw me back to assessing what is important, what do I really want? My life is better today because I discovered you three years ago.

It would be defeatist for me to increase screen time of ANY kind at this point (i.e., “turn off the television”) as I commit to becoming minimalist. I suffer from too much small-screen time as it is, and cannot tolerate any more, including YouTube. I prefer to digitally save your articles so that I can print, highlight and refer to them as needed. I had to watch, replay, take notes, etc. Definitely not efficient, and not an alternative option for me. I am very disappointed.

I much prefer to read as well, especially as I read while a child or my husband is falling asleep next to me usually. The full article was posted in February so I was able to do a search and find it, but that won’t work for new or updated content. Your work continues to inspire me and I’m taking back my sanity, Joshua! Thank you!

I absolutely agree with this. It takes much less time to read rather than watch a video.

These are thoughts and ideas. Never is any article a one size fits all. No reason for you to be disappointed. You do you. Josh’s ideas are always insightful and encouraging. Have a nice day. And smile!! :-)

These seven habits to develop are a revelation — so simple yet so potent. We will begin to implement all of them today! I especially love the 3-item to-do list; it’s not overwhelming! Thank you so very much.

Thank you for your generous video, Joshua! Your words guided me to reflect on the good progress I’ve been making. Today, I practise these habits daily. Since I live on my own, every meal I prepare is a ritual of appreciation for the healthy and simple life I enjoy. I also try to share one meal a month with friends who live close by.

I do most of the others, but I am going to focus most on the Kitchen Reset. Sometimes I am too tired from cooking to get it all cleaned up/sparkling, and you are right that I don’t want to deal with it the next day. Will discipline myself to get it done and also ask for help when I need it. Thanks for a great list!

Love all these daily habits. Some I already do, but the others I definitely want to apply to my life. Thank you !
