Ah, the convenience fallacy. One discovers just how visually distracting and unnecessary all those “convenient” items atop counters are when trying to stage and sell your home. Years ago, before selling our home, our wise realtor walked through the house and pointed out everything we needed to remove. Stuff like throw carpets that broke up the floor plan, toasters and cookie jars on kitchen counters, toothbrush cups and lotion containers in the bathroom. We successfully sold the house, and learned that less is more. All that stuff atop counters and tabletops is clutter and can be easily stored away and out of sight.

I enjoyed every article this week. Jennifer Burger’s 20 Ways posting was clear and to the point. I have friends in their 70’s that are still out there constantly buying and think I’m crazy for constantly clearing out. Joshua and a few other bloggers are my support system in minimalism. Thanks to all of them !
