Living with less creates space for more: more time, more peace, and more joy.
At the heart of minimalism is the realization that excess possessions often distract us from meaning and happiness. Minimalism is about freeing ourselves from the weight of unnecessary possessions and experiencing the freedom that comes from living lightly.
Every other week, I gather articles that inspire and motivate us to lead simpler lives. My hope is to equip all of us with the courage to let go and the determination to live with less.
So I encourage everyone to take a quiet moment this weekend with a hot cup of coffee or tea to enjoy these articles and reflect on their message.

Yesterday I dropped off 2 large trash bags filled with items at a charity store. Clothes, books, candles, toys, coffee mugs—- etc. Felt great and I am on a roll. Going to start a new bag today—- weeding out shoes! 👍🏻
Many great articles. My husband and I downsized to 1060 sq. ft. and we love it. We have 2 bedrooms, 2 bath all on 1 floor. It works for us. It’s interesting that many of our friends think we are crazy for living in such a small space.
Sounds perfect!
Hi Joshua
This is not about Becoming Minimalist. This is about “things that matter”. I want to say that this is the right book for me me to be reading right now. I am a psychologist who works with children on schools and have been deeply inspired, motivated and dedicated in my profession. It has been hard work, however I have loved working with children, but have had a few bad experiences with work culture and bosses. I realise I have disengaged, sad and rudderless (not to mention very worried about my future).
Your clarity and directness hits me in the heart. I have looked at many self help books to assist me, but no recent ones have hit the mark enough for me to read past the first few chapters (or pages).
(And only one other from the past Intemacy and Solitude by Stephanie Dowrick that I read 30 years ago have I read with such full engagement).
Your words make perfect sense and are very helpful for me to gain more energy and focus in my work and life. Thank you, I really appreciate your time and effort on this book.
Regards
Alison
