For the last ten years, I have been compiling and publishing curated articles that inspire simplicity. At first, it was an exercise in communicating to Becoming Minimalist readers the most popular articles I sent out on Twitter.
But over the years, it has become more than that. It has become a place where people (every other week) come for a dose of inspiration. And it has become a place to promote and encourage writers around the world who are publishing content about minimalism, simplicity, and intentional living.
I think you will enjoy this collection of articles hand-selected for you this weekend. Grab some coffee, tea, or lemonade and be inspired to live a simpler life today.

Joshua, correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t you say recently that your wife is a sewer? If so does she have any hints on keeping crafting supplies from multiplying. Thanks

All these “simple money saving tricks” are always so simple that only the stupidest among the most wasteful would not realize them. Oh wow, you can make coffee at home? Who knew!

Eddie, Some people may be new to this blog and just starting out in life on their own. I appreciate any guidance I can get as do others. It’s easy to fall back into the coffee shop habit. A reminder once in awhile is a good thing.

Decluttering sentimental items is definitely hard, especially if it’s from a deceased love one. When my dad died, my mom kept his old shoes in front of the window where he’d always slip them on each day. He ran those shoes ragged. I took a photo of them, and while I’m not a professional photographer, it was done in a way as if he was standing there (in his shoes) looking out the window. Except, obviously, he wasn’t standing there. I love that photo to this day.
So my suggestion is to take a photo of these types of items. You still have the photo but not the item. And the photo is all you need to remember.

Hi Joshua—- I just recently did more decluttering and it feels fantastic. I look around and I think the house looks great because I only kept the very best—- I have donated so much. My tiny home looks spacious and stylish. It’s a 1950’s ranch. It’s a fun house to live in. The architectural design is retro—-
And no need to fill it up with a bunch of junk. That would ruin it instantly. I am so very blessed on many levels. Minimalism is a huge part of it. Thank you for your continual inspiration : )
