I only carry a small backpack (old school Jansport) when I travel. Even then, I end up not wearing half of what I packed. It’s all about layers for clothing, a small tube of Dr. Bronner’s, and a sink. For socks, wear alpaca or wool. They take forever to stink.
Ah, the tyranny of clothes. I just got back from a trip to Italy. The plane was a zoo, as travelers stuffed their bulging luggage in sagging overhead bins. My wife and I only use small, manageable carryon, with quick drying clothes and minimal gear. Less is truly more.
I just started reading Things That Matter and I see that I have lived my 63 years of life in fear. I have many regrets. I start projects and don’t finish them. I long for relationships but am afraid to initiate. I am inspired that God can help me change and finish strong. Joshua 1:9 have I not said be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged.
